It's a toss up between Manet and Sargeant.

He gave reality extra strength and dynamism by exaggerating the colours and characteristics of his subject. He had great esteem for the richly-textured brushstrokes of Monticelli, the realism of Millet and Daumierand his paintings shoed it. What a wonderfull world he lived in and he shared it beautifuly with us. To bad he never sold any of his works while he was alive.

I'm in love with William Blake. His poetry coupled with his beautiful, beautiful art just continues to intrige me.

I've always like Remedios Varo, a spanish surrealist from the 1950's.

I also like Donald Roller Wilson.

He he. I have some poems with drawings photocopied at home, "The Tyger" on the wall. I love that, poems with drawings by the author.

I love his lucifer, where he is seen before the perversion. Even when the colors are no longer as sharp as intented, it's magnificent.

However, Clive Barker still draws the strongest psychological corellation.

• Clive Barker, "Self Portrait"
• Clive Barker, "Jesus"
• Clive Barker, "Pie 'oh' Pah"

Even though my rabid Tolkien-fan days ended with the release of Peter Jackson's movies, illustrator Ted Nasmith remains my favourite painter and landscapist.

Some favourites:
- Eärendil Searches Tirion
- The Ships of the Teleri Drawn by Swans
- Tuor Reaches the Hidden City of Gondolin
- Flying Toward the Lake

Emily Carr is one of my favourites for her modern impressionism. I like the painting of "The Lonely Pine." Very Happy
