Oh, hello everybody ! Very Happy I'm happy to have landed amongst you. Very Happy
I found myself here after bouncing in from another site, so now I have a new place to explore which looks very exciting. I can't wait to look around every corner and in all the nooks and crannies - what I've seen so far looks awesome.
I'm interested in everything that relates to life, spirituality, nature, ecology... and regularly visit related sites, one of my favourites being NASA (if only to look at the wonderful cosmic pictures). I look forward to exchanges with you around the board. Very Happy

Yes I look forward to it too Smile. Spirituality may get a few frowns here though, but not from me you won't Wink. Welcome to the forum, I hope I've given you a soft landing.

Thank you for the welcome, 425 Chaotic Requisition and Carbon.
Strangely enough it was a spiritual site that bounced me here so I didn't realize this was a scientific forum only, but I like it here, so guess I'll stick around even though a lot of it will be over my head.
I think I'll have to change my avatar though. But not much I can do about the username so it will have to stay. Very Happy

Welcome, welcome~
I'm a newbie here myself, so I don't know what stands about it are here, but.. if you like your ava, why change it? I'm not changing mine. Unless the mods tell me to. *nod*

If you want to change your name, its nice and early so I'm sure the admin wouldn't mind if you had another profile. You can then introduce your new name in the same thread here.

Take it easy guys, it's not like the whole forum's going to attack en masse if someone mentions spirituality, or has an avatar that is suggestive of it. This being a science forum, we simply don't see arguments based on spirituality as legitimate discussion points. That's all. But keep your avatar and your username, they are both perfectly acceptable. I welcome you and invite you to enjoy this forum as you are.

(OK, a token few forum members may take an irrational dislike to you because of it, but their opinions matter little here anyway.)

Hello everybody. Thanks for your replies.
I've changed to a new avatar which reflects where I work, so that's ok.
I'll keep the username even though some will find it strange, perhaps - I like it.
Very Happy
