when I was little, I jumped out of a moving van, just being stupid (it was on a dare) I now get sick if I can see the street wizzing past me less then 4 feet away. It's o.k. If the car door's not open.

I'm sorry to hear that BitBit.

---------------

I have a fear of spiders, and seeing as i am a big bloke people seem to enjoy playing on this fear and making me scream like a girl. About a month ago someone at work (still don't know who) put a spider in my tobacco tin which when opened at lunch time, made me throw my tin up into the air, rip of my t-shirt and knock a hot cup of tea over Mick who was siting next to me. Then after recovering from my multiple heart attacks, i turned to see them all laughing. Bastards.

I have a fear of heights, but only heights I'm not used to. In other words, I am afraid of being up on a roof of a 27 foot tall building pulling cable the first 2 times or so I'm up there, after that, when I'm used to my surroundings and the height, I do fine. But If I go inside and pull cable under the ceiling, I am scared again until I get used to that too. Flying is fine though.

My Wife has a fear of cotton, and there is not even a name for that yet! I say we call it

gossypiumfructussiccaphobia

But I am not good at latin so it might need to be tweaked slightly, but it means fear of dry fruit of cotton, which I guess could mean fear of cotton balls, but I might be using fruit incorrectly in this context. Any Latin geeks around here to help me out?

Phobophobia is the fear of fear itself.

I know Latin, and I believe most of those words are not of Latin origin. I think they're largely Greek.

hmm.. mine is different !!
I fear from odd numbers, when ever i complete any work that ends with odd numbers, like anything even a small work !!
for example whenever i splash water on my face 3 times, then i feel like doing it 4th time, because i feel that if i don't then something bad will surely happen to me !! Sad
But now i am recovering from, this fear !! Smile
