Deep sea vents
Little fishy living in hot temps that will boil it if it were not for the bacteria that lives on it's skin protecting it from those temps
The particular bacteria concerned cannot exist without that fish and the fish cannot exist without that bacteria in this environment
So
As these two things cannot at all exist without each other in that environment do you think that they are at all aware (assuming they had the capability, which they don't but lets assume) that there are two separate life forms co-existing or would the fish believe that the bacteria was part of them and vice versa not realising they are in fact separate?
Is it possible that we as humans may be playing host to something we assume is part of us but is in fact separate. I would hazard that this something may be an energy being and we refer to it fondly as our 'soul'. When the biological organism dies this energy being departs
We cannot deny we are made of 'energy'
We cannot deny that energy does not 'disappear' and so when the biological aspect of us appears to disappear, that energy pattern lives on. Where does it go, what does it do? _________________ 'Time is the space between birth and death' by me.

there is interesting research that suggests our intestinal flora exerts effects on our traits, such as weight and in some surprising cases, behavior.
Related to this, rabies victims develop an intense desire to bite others near the end of their illness. You may enjoy "Parasite Rex" for an interesting read. |

It depends on how smart you want to imagine the fish are, and what sort of tools they have to study themselves.

Possible in that it can't be disproven, but that doesn't mean its likely.

What energy specifically are you talking about? The chemical potential energy in your muscles? The electrical energy in your brain? No one can give you a specific answer about what happens to the energy unless you specify exactly which energy you are talking about. Yeah, the human body relies on many forms of energy, but they are all more-or-less understood, and a biochemist or biophysicist can tell you what happens to the energy when you die. It's not like there's some nebulous, mysterious cloud of energy in our bodies that we can't explain. The short answer is that most of it either gets stolen by other living things that eat your body (animals, bacteria, whatever) for their own use, or just dissipates into the environment. |

our energy becomes part of other things, this is why when bad energy comes our way we feel shit _________________ 'Time is the space between birth and death' by me.
