Background radiation indicates a massive explosion approximately 15 billion years ago. The far stars are flowing outward at near the speed of light according to Hubble measurements.
However the universe is a very complex entity. It is more than three simple dimensions. In addition it does not expand like a simple sphere. Thus a multiplcity of big bangs occurred simultaneously or at staged intervals. How doe the universe work?
The is no anti-matter clearly present in the universe. Why? We livein an electrical universe so that only coulombs, meters, and seconds are the required units. Mass in grams has the same units as charge. Einstein thought that Massa = Charge and this appears to be the correct answer.
At the center of our galaxy lies a black hole. What is it? It is an electrical node in which energy flows from our stars through the electrical conductivity of space into the black hole. The hole reaches maximum energy which is much greater than the energy of the galaxy stars. The hole explodes and new antimatter stars and antimatter planets forms.
At near zero dimensions the time clock within the hole runs very fast. One years of our time is a million years with the black hole since events are extremely fast to us but the same to them. To people living upon very small planets, the time to them does not seem any faster than our clock since they are very small.
We are approximately 28,000 light years from the black hole. No doubt it exploded many years ago. Biblical prophets envisioned new Earths and a lake of fire. Thus in the near too distant future our Sun and Earth will be eaten up by anti-protons and anti-electrons of enourmous energy levels. The result with be the destruction of our galaxy and later the entire universe and the replacement by an antimatter universe.
Hindu philosophy shows a snake eating its tail. That is what happens. The universe does not really compress again to a pinpoint. It is like a waterfall which flows back into the pond and shoots up into the air.
The we have a perpetual oscillations in which the universe always refreshes and regenerates itself.

At current standpoint, no one really knows why matter prevailed over anti-matter. Some believe it was just an asymmetrical ratio where there were a billion antimatter particles and a billion and one matter particles. You can’t necessarily say there’s no anti-matter in this universe. It could be produced in the center of the galaxy where relativistic jets interact with the interstellar medium. Antimatter could be produced by particle jets but the result would be killed when positrons annihilate with nearby matter. Really, there could be another universe composed entirely of anti-matter and chemicals we don’t even know about.

Intresting but i hate to bring it to you the univese is not expanding. And there is no black hole in his middle.
If you do not like it change universe.

Reminded of an old nursery rhyme about a man born on Monday, the thugs named the creature "Solomon Grundy".

Most of the scientists agree that a black hole exists at the center of our galaxy.
The galaxies come into being as the black holes expand. The expansion of the galaxy produces gravity. The galaxies appear to be centered upon a sphere. The universe itself does not expand.
The red shift is due to the feedback of the light waves to the center of the sending galaxies. The light wave reaches a point where the wave is zero. At this point, part of the wave reaches the center of the universe and part of the wave reaches the outer sphere which is twice the radius of the universe.

Many dealing in astronomy feel, black holes (depleted neutron stars) exist in our and most spiral galaxy. This is not a 'chicken or the egg' scenario and that the massive star required would have existed first. Expansion, does not in any way create gravity, under BBT, if thats where you thinking. It is simply the expansion of space where all else exist. Many feel, that Dark Matter or Dark Energy results in a pressure, for the expansion but this has not been confirmed, to my knowledge. Light waves travel (all energy waves)in all direction from a source, not toward anything. What we see that began 2-5 or 14.2 billion years ago, is the very small portion that headed our way and we are not the center of anything. The radius of the Universe is an estimate, based on the current estimate of the beginning of the expansion, the estimates that what we see from 10-14BY away and what should be if the expansion has continued. Most are NOW saying the diameter is 156 billion light years across and others about 56BLYA. If new knowledge is gained from the newer telescope (James Webb) expected to be deployed 2012 or 13, all these estimated figures will change. As for the shape of this universe, no one knows, but few feel its a sphere...Oh yes, Black Holes produce only the gravity of there original mass and by all accounts are not permanent fixtures in any galaxy...they will evaporate.

Hope this adds to the somewhat less than intelligible comments, I have seen posted....

One explanation of the CMB is the BB 13.7 billion years ago. However there are a number of problems, like failing the shadow test

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2006/09/060905104549.htm

If there were multiple big bangs, these are extremely violent events and we can see back most of the way to the claimed big bang and certainly would see any from a few hundred million years after that date.

Anti-matter behaves like ordinary matter till they come into contact with each other. If Sirius was made of anti-matter, we would not know it.

The black hole at the centre of our galaxy sucks stuff in. It does not give energy out. Like all black holes, it has powerful magnetic fields. Black holes do not explode. They are almost ultimately stable. If the one at the centre of our galaxy did, the force would possibly be sufficient to wreck the galaxy and maybe exterminate all life in it.

The earliest parts of the bible were written under King Josiah in the early seventh century, so prophecies in it were written long after actual events. Not surprising they are correct.

It would need a new big bang to wipe out the matter universe before a new anti matter universe could appear since they are mutually intolerant of each other.

Hindu philosophy? Just imagination run riot.

Xelthen. Anti-matter can be produced in high energy collisions and the BB was the ultimate atom smasher so it could have been produced there though there is no way of telling how much or how little anti-matter there is.

I honestly cannot see almost equal amounts of matter and anti-matter being created though. The mutual annihilation would have blown the surviving matter so finely that it would not have formed anything.

SolomonGrundy. We can detect a black hole by it's gravitational effects and that we cannot see the source in visible light. The source in these cases is very small and so massive it can only be a black hole. We can detect it by it's accretion disk and the hard radiation given off as matter falls into it. Which also allows us to use red and blue shifts to detect it's rotation rate (pretty near light speed for super-massive black holes).

Black holes as in what? There are no black holes.
