cos I recall doing some research and ended up calculating that
almost every part fur teh computer costs at lest 50% less(with shipping to
israel) than the computer shops around here... :/
Although me father say that these partz can be shytty ones even though they are the same... anyone please care to explain?? _________________ Good Brother

If you're a newb building it yourself (and all power to you) then how can you tell if the part is bad or you messed it up?
With CPUs and also video cards there are known "good runs" and "bad runs" and even "different runs" of what's sold as the same product. So what people do is buy, then take it home to check the serial # and other codes and decide if they want to use it. If not, they put it on e-bay. Also true for LCD monitors, because most stores and manufacturers won't rate them defective with less than, like, six dead pixels. Well you get the picture. E-bay is for offloading 2nd-rate computer parts. |

Stay away from eBay for computer parts!
Seriously!
Go with newegg.com they have the cheapest NEW computer parts.
I can send you a list of the parts that will make the best gaming system you could possibly make _________________ “It’s no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense.” - Mark Twain |

Don't forget to make sure you have plenty of cooling fans and thermal grease! If you are uncomfortable with building your own you should just by an alienware or voodoo gaming PC.
Also, you will need on OS, if you only want to run games that support 64-bit, you could get windows vista 64, or, if you want to run games that don't support 64-bit, you could use vista 32-bit.
While I don't normally recomend Vista, it is the only OS with support for DirectX 10 _________________ “It’s no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense.” - Mark Twain |

Thanks man
I'll forward this to me father as he is a computer guy (not so good with
games and gaming PC's tho... ).
Again, thank you very much for the list
I really want already a new good computer as I always had very crappy computers to play with
btwz, ain't quad-core eXtreme be better than dual core extreme??
And i've seen Quad core eXtreme in the market about half a year go...
ya sure there aren't better ones? _________________ Good Brother

That is a quad core extreme...
It's a "Core 2" Quad core extreme with each core running at 3.0 GHz, totaling 12 GHz... Not going to find much better and even if you did most games wouldn't even utilize it. If there are better ones they are used for rendering 3-d movies, and the performance to price ratio drops drastically from here on up.
"Core 2" really has less to do with the number of cores and more to do with the technology involved in manufacturing them, there is no such thing as a "Core 4" In other words. _________________ “It’s no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense.” - Mark Twain |

Also, just as a tip, if you run into compatibility problems while trying to run older games made before vista, first check for patches, but if you still are having problems or there is not a patch, if you disable the other cores, sometimes the old game will run, but your performance will decrease until you re-enable the other cores after you are done playing. _________________ “It’s no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction.
