Any Dali fans in here? I've become interested in him lately. Check out www.virtualdali.com for his works. What's your opinion on him?

I like his works, I have some books on him somewhere.

Did you know that paranoic visage came from a postcard of a real picture he saw?

Have a look at this thread, wherein we discuss what I believe to be his greatest work, and indeed my favourite painting of any artist.

You can purchase that as a poster at virtualdali.com, if you don't have it already. thought i'd let you know. What kind of strikes me about that is how Christ is hanging above the earth, above everything... possibly a statement about what Dali thought of Him?

I love dali's work even when he paints something real it looks surreal, such as the figure at the window.

I have one of his works tatooed on my right leg, 10x6 inches.Need to say more about my favourite artist??

It's called "In voluptate mors", actually it's a Philip Halsman photograph but the design is by HIM of course.

See here for the photograph.

I love Dali's work. A few years ago I went to see the Dali Space in Montmartre (Paris), THREE times. It was wonderful.
The elephants are one of my favourites too, and his warped time pieces, and the girl leaning at the window touches a cord too.

I visited the art museum in Madrid, where they have many fine examples of Dali's work. I particularly like The Persistence of Memory, try looking at it whilst listening to Time by Pink Floyd to get you in the mood for some serious contemplation.

They currently have a display of his work in London, right beside the London Eye in Westminster. I missed going to it though Crying or Very sad.

Wow. Thats really surreal. Theres a very odd feeling within you when you combine these two. The music makes you actually LOOK at the painting, and observe the moods, shapes, and meanings doesn't it?

When he starts singing though that kind of changes what you see. That's really strange.

I'm sure you'll see it one day. Where is it off to now do you know?

The Tate Modern in London probably has a few paintings by Dalí. I’ve seen Metamorphosis of Narcissus there. Cool
