I've been doing an experiment on heating non-Newtonian fluid. I have a problem, I don't have the right materials to measure the temperature of the propane flame (on the low setting) Does anyone have any ideas how hot the flame is? I know I can see how long the water takes to boil but I'm in grade seven and I don't have much time to figure this out.

Thank you

Do you have any solder/sodder? this melts at 360C so it could giv a clue.
YOU could also place a steel nail in the flame and compare it with a temerature chart which gives the approximate temperature for heating colours.
