Out of all the software piracy that goes on through the internet, why aren't porn companies and video game companies as upset as the movie and music industries? Surely, more porn is illegally obtained than music. And every time someone downloads a video game, the companies involved lose anywhere from $20-60. That is a lot more than a movie ticket, dvd sale, or music album. It is very curious why the video game industry doesn't have the fervor that the music/movie industry has about online piracy.

Both the porn industry and video game industry are as closely knit as music and movie industries - having the support isn't the problem.

Sure many ppl download music/films/apps. but how much of it would they really pay fore ? Not much.

How do you think Microsoft bekame the worlds largest OS provider?
Would you use it even if you hade to pay for it ?

this is because people dont download programs that arent legally free as much as vids. people can more easily incorporate viruses in programs, because most people skip terms/conditions and a good hacker would add a line in the middle saying "I can legally do anything to your computer" and you can get fined if your virus protecter blocks it.

Porn is just too easy for people to make. There's no capital investment. If established pornography sources complain, not-so-established ones will get more consumer attention.

As for video games - They're not as easy to download/get for free as music and videos. That, and they're made by programmers, who aren't as threatened by technology as most people. They may actually see piracy as simply being another challenge to try and code around.
