Can it be a fault in the liver when a person's behaviour changes after eating food of any type?
This person (13yrs, has had difficulties throughout her life) has been diagnosed with constipation and treatment (Movicol) alleviates symptoms temporarily. Symptoms are:
- change of behaviour after food;
- tightness of tendons throughout body;
- mood swings;
- lethargy;
- exhaustion;
- inability to concentrate;
- lack of focus;
- splitting nails;
- dull hair;
- severe abdominal cramps;
- continual nausea;
If this is purely a result of constipation, why? |

This person should see a doctor, who can run liver funtion tests (SGOT, SGPT, bilirubin and creatinine for example) as well as other related screening procedures. In my opinion, this sounds like more than a food related problem. |

I highly recommend whatever you do you avoid the above comment regarding from absolute herb.
You should see your doctor, sounds somewhat like a malabsorptive condition. _________________ There is not enough love & kindness in the world to permit us give it away to imaginary beings.

hello everyone,
Yes, I think a doctor is best or even a naturopath-----they are better with chronic ailments like this one. You may also look into the symptoms of "Celiac Disease" ---- or wheat sensitivities too. Here is some information for you: http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/celiac/#2
I hope that helps you as it is no fun to be so sick at 13 years of age! Another suspected allergy is dairy, try a rotation diet to see what makes things worse. That means for a 5-7 day period, you have different foods for the person; keep track of any changes then add a few possible allergens back in to see how it goes. Good luck a be well----Chris.

You should see your doctor, sounds somewhat like a malabsorptive condition, could potentially be a liver problem, both of which are very treatablt by conventional medicine. _________________ There is not enough love & kindness in the world to permit us give it away to imaginary beings.
