Currently being aired and for the next 6 weeks or so, is a Drama Documentary, 'John Adams', on the HBO Channel. Taken from the 'Pulitzer Prize' winning novel, with the same title (2005) by David McCullough (noted historian) who also had a related book '1776' published in 2002. Tom Hanks produced the 7 part presentation and is getting very good reviews. Paul Giamatti, plays John Adams.

Anyone interested in how America was born or just who these founders were, on a personal level, this is well worth your time. The best observation of this production can be googled *Rush Limbaugh John Adams* who goes into detail.

I read the book (novel? possibly, but not how I would have categorized it) and found it to be interesting but not riveting. Don't get HBO so will have to wait for the DVD.

The John Adams story, as presented, gives a good understanding of life and politics were in the 18th century. To many folks today, think that those days are over, the Constitution outdated and diplomacy an art long lost. Ironically Adams, was a liberal in his time, called 'federalist' or one who believed in big government. As a modern day Republican/Conservative, I would gladly pay my share, to see this documentary played in every school in the US. Those arts or diplomacy practiced in those times, had the interest of the Country in mind, not those of individual people or groups, which seems to be the rule today....
