There seem to be two big processes going on in the world economy, processes that at the same time seem to contradict and follow from eachother.
At one side is the process of globalisation, that is the rising integration of economies from all over the world. Economic crises are on a global scale now instead of a national, international trade and investment are skyrocketing (although not as high as before 1914) and in general all economies seem to depend on eachother's wellbeing.

Two big processes? But you've only mentioned one so far. Care to elaborate?
Btw you'll have to come up with better titles, a nonsense title is by itself enough reason to be moved to the trashcan. |

John; Personally I feel your promoting your site. Am curious about your name however, since its been related to comedy for a very long time. Doubt your the same person...
In short; Private Enterprise and pure Communism are the two extremes of any/all economic systems. Depending on other social, legal systems and government systems, the degree of which is dominant is determined. Historically (pre-1940's) dependency generally led to wars, but has taken on a buy/sell attitude which is practical from the private enterprise system, more commonly known as Capitalism.
I do disagree with you on international trade in 1914, even if your inferring WWI, inflation adjusted or otherwise, at least to todays activity.
Pendragon; Think he may have been 'thinking', what is described above, though there are many forms of each.... |
