Hi all,

Not sure what all to say - the more I look around this forum, the more it amazes me. Even computer science! I'm trying to finish my Ph.D. in electrical-computer engineering currently. But recreational science for me is more physics, some astronomy, some chemistry, and a few others perhaps. Optics and lasers are a favorite too.

I've started a MetaCafe channel devoted mostly to science videos too. (Shameless plug I suppose). Probably the one I'm most proud of so far is making a cheap homemade interferometer with a cd jewel case beam splitter. Might talk more about it later but I should probably settle in some first.

Hope to see you on the forums.

Thank you Very Happy. Someone actually joined the forum about 6 months ago with this avatar, and I naturally liking it, copied it to my computer. Six months later I decided to find how to make it my avatar, and uploaded it to Photobucket, then cross linked the picture to my profile here. And there we go.

Ironically, that person did not stay long, but then again the world is full of coincidences. Thanks for the comments Smile. And call me John. Smile
