Our hearts are basicly pumps so is it theoricically possible to be able to have a 'heart service' as an operation?

Like a check up? Yeah

Like open it up, take a look and put it back.... probably not the greatest idea,

Not really, unless something goes wrong, there's no need, and besides as a discipline, thoracic surgery (cardiac at least) will be pretty much obsolete in the next decade. Everything is being replaced by endovascular surgery which has better success rates and lower perioperative mortality rates.

All you need to do is go for a check up every now and again, have a good lifestyle (dont smoke, drink too much, eat well, avoid stress and exercise) and know your numbers (blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose tolerance). and you're doing pretty much everything you can.

Chronically speaking, nothing really happens to the heart which requires a "service" (except maybe valvular stenosis or amyloidosis) the majority of the time its as a response to something else, e.g. high blood pressure causes hypertrophy, which is why keeping those things in check is more important.
