Hi guys, I'd like some advice,
I'm looking to buy my first website, I no a lot about science fair projects so thought I'd pit my efforts there. I found a web-site with high search engine placement http://www.project-science-fair.com and would like to know your opinions.
Thanks so much for your help,
William |

The hyphens are said to be bad. However if you like the name, or if others do, I don't see why not. Most people find a good site and book mark it. Never even knowing the address.
I was horrified at what I have clicked on, and not even known the crazy web address.
www.missionsciencefair.com is available from Godaddy for $9.99 a year.
So is this name
www.projsciencefair.com is available.
A lot of the .net or .us names are available as well.
Premium Domain Names
ScienceFairAbstract.com $549.00*
ScienceFairResearch.com $599.00*
SocialScienceFair.com $599.00*
ScienceFairRubric.com $549.00*
ScienceProjectFair.com $649.00*
ScienceFairs.net $510.00*
MissIOne.net $1,188.00*
Fairness.net $2,488.00*
KidScienceFairProject.com $1,188.00*
MissionWeb.net $488.00
I actually like the hyphens they help me visually spell check it. And you can always redirect later on. You just need the domain name. A bunch of domain names can point to the same root directory or a subdirectory.
Godaddy lets you use their system to see what names are available.
I use WebHost4life.com to host my site. You can register a domain name with anyone, I used Godaddy, and then transfer the name to Webhost4life, server. Or you can register the domain name with WebHost4life and it is already there.
Register.com advertised here has a ten year plan for $100 dollars. That is to buy the domain name for ten years. Then you can host with them.
But you should check out how many gigabytes you will use. And then decide how you want to host. Either with unlimited file transfer a month or with a certain bandwidth.
Unless you have something that pulls them in like crazy you will probably not even use a gigabyte of file transfer. It took me a few years to work up to that every month.
I have had a movie I uploaded use up about a gigabyte of file transfer in a month.
How about ScienceFairReloaded.com ?
Sincerely,
