Hello everyone.

I am a college student from India. I've reached that point where I have to decide what my stream is going to be - pure science or engineering.

Well, I am very much interested in physics and thought of pursuing it in research, but I'm having second thoughts. It's mainly because, here, in India, pure science isn't given the value it deserves and there are very few jobs in research, especially in , say, physics or any pure science.

Now, I'd like to take physics as my side subject, studying it on my own by reading books on it. But, well, I kinda don't know if its going to work. I just think that its going to be too much for me to handle.

Please advise me on this tough decision.

I would think you need both to fry up some eggs and put a meal on the table safely.

Sincerely,

Hi,

I don't know much about the science field, but if you think you can handle doing both at the same time then why not go for it, or if you think that it may be a bit of a struggle then only do one thing at a time, just go with your feelings.

I know this is not much of a help, but hope it has been of some use.
