Awhile ago I posted in a thread concerning ghosts and how perhaps they were merely images or 'memories' from the matter in that particular area. My question is, has it been scientifically proven or disproven that matter can store information? If it could it would perhaps explain ghosts as well as mental images of past lives. It could also be the stepping stone to understanding genetics and evolution at a much higher rate. _________________ "The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt" - Bertrand Russell |

| I explored a haunted house. We were young and looking for a dirt cheap rental. The previous tenants had thrown a wrecking party to celebrate their eviction. Power cut, so we used flashlights. Windows smashed, toilet busted, flooded basement and debris everywhere. But it was more than this. There was something palpably wrong about the arrangement of things. A spoon on a counter, pointing awry. A jacket on a hook, hanging by the sleeve. A couch squarely faced the front window and street outside. I think that even prior to the wrecking this home would feel inhuman. |

The reason I asked this was because I thought that if matter could store information it could replay the stored images back at a later time resulting in ghostly images. However after doing some thinking on the subject I've expanded my questioning. If all matter can infact store information then that would be a great leap towards undersatnding how the brain works. My new theory, although I'm sure it may be torn to pieces, is that all types of matter can store a very limited amount of information. Once that matter starts communicating with one another, similar to a network, it becomes more and more powerful and can hold more and more information. Our brains do this are merely networked types of matter and therefore conciousness is the same. _________________ "The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt" - Bertrand Russell |

I was just able to write my telephone number on a piece of paper, so the answer is YES. _________________ The Universe is not only weirder than we imagine it is weirder than we can imagine. J.B.S.Haldane. |
