I plan to be a pharmacist when I step out to the soceity to work. I was told that you need to be a 4-year university graduate in order to work for, is that right? And I be a pharmacist, I make a lot of money, right? Who has been a pharmacist? Did you get a lot of wage for that?

If your objective is to make lots of money I would not recommended pharmacy, or any of the conventional careers. If, however, you wish to have a comfortable income, make a valuable contribution to society, and have a moderately interesting job, doubtless with its own peculiar challenges, then pharmacy could be a good choice for you.

I would strongly recommend you, or anyone else considering their careers, to pursue something that interests you, rather than something that simply pays well.
If you do not enjoy your work you will not perform especially well at it. You will therefore be left at the bottom of your chosen career structure (why would anyone promote someone who is not very good at their job?). So you will be in a job that you do not enjoy, that is not paying very well, with little hope of advancement.
In contrast, if you take a job you enjoy, you will likely excel at it – your choice of career development will be diverse and the opportunities, both professional and economic, will be large.

A pharmacist must possess these characteristics in particular: ethical, stable, trustworthy, responsible, intelligent, compassionate and evoke confidence.

Based on your racist rants on your homepage, I don't think you are qualified emotionally, ethically or intellectually to become a pharmacist.

Unless you mature and overhaul your ethics, I would recommend that you seek a job which doesn't require that you ever interact with other people. Until then, perhaps a lighthouse keeper on an isolated island would be more appropriate employment.

Well, I just want to make sure that I am able to feed myself ecnomically in the world. Well, I just want to find a job which has more incomes than any other and you can easily get paid without going under the threat of being fired. Speaking of ethnic, I don't care. Though Indian or other race people come to me, I will still treat them the same, just that I won't make friend or have any social contact with the races which I hate the most.

And being a pharmacist, do you really need to graduate from 4-year university? Or you can just go after you graduate from a community college that's all?

Don't we all? Confused

So, you don't just want to feed yourself economically in the world. You want more. A lot more, it would seem: a job with more income than any other. Forget pharmacy.

Hello. Anyone at home? When you exit fantasy land and rejoin the real world you may understand that such jobs do not exist. Payment and avoidance of being fired are contingent on two separate things: your ability and attitude; the global, regional and local economic conditions. You can only influence the first of these.
I have some experience of hiring and firing - fortunately much more of the former (in the hundreds) than the latter (single figures). So take this as a friendly piece of advice. Based on what I have seen of your attitude so far, in these forums, you are in absolutely no danger of being fired. Why? Nobody in their right mind would hire you.

What a marvellous recipe for a trouble free world. You should let Kofi An An know your exemplary thoughts on the matter. (Sigh. I suppose I had better explain to you that that was biting sarcasm, not actual praise.)

in ireland there is a course for pharmacy, 4 years long, and is one of the higher paid jobs in our lil, country, thats why its so hard to get into the course,
same with other coureses such as biomedical science, high grades in both revelent and irrevelent, but better paid,

bad system, i think, personally.
i cannot add anythign more than that, i don't know what its like in americia, but i can only assume that if you heard it,somewhere its highly unlikely to be false, people don't generally go around giving people false carrear advice.
i agree with those above, don't picke someting that pays you well, if you don't think it suits you , or if you know it won't.

i don't think you can walk straight outof a bio degree into pharmacy, your age adn current status(gettign the bio degree) suggests you don't have a degree in pharmacology or pharmacy, or chemistry. i think it 4 years

Racists should never work in a field which requires ethics and compassion.

It always sort of seemed to me that a simple computer program could do most of a pharmacist's job...or anyone with a big wall chart. You just make sure that people aren't taking a combination of things that could cause a bad reaction/interaction, right?

Listen, sir. I am going to make big money. I just want my life career to be easy and successful. Come on, everyone has his/her taste. You might dislike some races due to your personal view.

Ok, let me say in this way, so that will make easier on you:

Some girls who are 5'7 tell demand guys who must be at least 5'10 or taller. Every human being has its own personal taste. Just like I love some cultures, I don't like some cultures. I hope being a pharamacist won't take many threat on me, because I really look for a easy job.

I am still going to work my butt off when I be a pharmacist, just that I hope it is not a difficult job that I have to work too many hours. Because I am only 20something, I need fun. I don't wanna be a nerd.

pharmacy is and easy job? ah, i suppose with a computer it is! but .. there are a number of different combinations of factors.. that you will need to know. eg

if your computer crashes, and you cannot find a suitable fix, will you shut up shop for the day. lose that days buissness?
if a new drug is invented, you still need to know what it can or cannot be mixed with,
if the customer askes you a question, "do you knwo of any side afffects this drug has?"it won't look good if you don't answer and instead you run to the computer and return with answer (note.. little britian a comedy... quote"COMPUTER SAYS NOOOOOO" ) their lives are in your hand's,

I loved your "last but not least you can manage to post here without prior thinking". It reflected my thoughts exactly. Nicely done.

Let me also repeat my welcome to you to these forums.

next time, refer to where in my post you are questioned about.

you probably could, but that wasn't what i was refering to,

i meant that the coputer dosen't garentee a success, adn or you cannot rely on a computer to do your job. (see points made above)

and , man you can post here durring work hours, but wouldn't advise it, again , if a customer were to see your own personal habits in posting, they might go to the next drug store! Rolling Eyes

Thats some sound advice, I tell that to every buisness student who laughs at me for studying medicine to be a researcher.
