I was just wondering;
I don't know the first thing about chemistry, but I'm sure there's some, if not a lot of folks out here who do Smile

I was thinking, maybe you guys could come up with some fun things to do using everyday home articles? And, for those like me, maybe it'd be nice to explain why it works that way.

If you folks are up for it, of course. Very Happy

try drinking the chemicals you find under the sink.

it works for me because it stops pointless questions.

You reckon it'd also stop bluntness?

Don't be disheartened by comments like that, any chemist who says they didn't start their careers by messing around at home is lying Very Happy.

It depends on how simple you want to start, there are dozens of experiments you can turn up by googling. One of my personal favourites was the old baking soda and vinegar volcano, throw in some red food colouring to for added realism... This is a fairly simple acid/base reaction between the ethanoic acid in the vinegar and the carbonate in the baking soda, you get a nice fizz as carbon dioxide (CO2) is released.
