Nonetheless, the Judeo-Christian "God" was first conceived of about 5000 years ago by the Hebrews. Edit: The actual word "god" is first used in 6th century German, which was the base of the English language, it was also first in German where it was spelled with a capital as "God" to distinguish it from the polytheistic gods. English is a language that is mostly based in German and got the word from Germans.
